Environment
Santa Marina Farm shares the nature concerns of the environment. Here, some practices have already been incorporated day to day, such as, collection of selective residues, re-usable materials and the preference for bio-degradables.
The Farm is registered in the Program of the Ministry of Tourism "BEM RECEBER" ("TO RECEIVE WELL") (PCTS – Sustainable Tourism Certification Program of the Ministry of Tourism, of which we persue some daily goals, such as:
- Reduce the consumption of energy and water;
- Reduce waste and costs;
- Instill appropriate destination methods for residues;
- Adopt basic skills for good Forest Management and the utilization of sustainable natural resources;
- Improve the management of the quality of water;
- Perfect services rendered and internal procedures;
- Disseminate responsibility of the environmental culture, between individual and collective associates, suppliers, hire-purchase services and consumers;
- Enable associates to practice sustainability in professional activities.
